The Wouxun KG-UV9D is mainly used by licensed shortwave radio operators, listeners and PMR band users.
A unique combination of a powerful handheld VHF/UHF radio and a frequency scanner.
The large liquid crystal display with white backlighting clearly informs us about the selected frequencies, the strength of the incoming and outgoing signal and the most important settings of the radiotelephone.
999 memory channels – incomparably more than in popular Baofeng radios (~200).
A keypad lock prevents accidental activation of an unwanted function.
A huge advantage is the microphone/headphone connector in the most popular Kenwood/Baofeng/Wouxun standard.
SMA-M antenna connector visible in one of the pictures (the same as in Wouxun KG-UV8D).
The radio is equipped with two antennas:
for amateur bands 2m/70cm (144/430MHz) – antenna length 21cm
broadband – receiving – antenna length 12cm
The radio can be programmed through a computer using a programmer with a Kenwood connector. The programmer must be purchased separately.
The Wouxun KG-UV9D can also be used in a car – it is powered from the cigarette lighter socket. An optional car adapter is required for this.
